當初風波鬧得沸沸揚揚，Taylor的名聲一路跌到谷底，然後她創造了＜Reputation＞，終於獲得重生。不得不說她真的是文字遊戲女王耶！這張專輯裡多次使用諷刺的手法，寫出被傷害的真實心聲，例如副歌的片段，雖然nice things主要指的是友誼，可是歌詞的口吻很像是家長對於小孩的斥責：「你怎麼把玩具弄壞了？我只好通通收起來」，另外第二段主歌也是精華中的精華，最後一句的意思應該是拿斧頭讓這段關係一刀兩斷，但是她卻是使用「修補」這個字眼，所以整個顯得更加諷刺。
